Paige N.

Veterinary Nurse

Paige is from Northwest, Iowa.  She received her veterinary technician degree from Ridgewater College in Minnesota, and joined the Somerset family in October 2018. Paige enjoys working with both cats and dogs!  In her spare time, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Paige is the proud parent of her cat named Zoey!

Kirsti

Client Service Representative

Kirsti grew up in a small town in Southeast Iowa. Her love for animals came at a very young age; as a child she spent most of her time bringing home stray animals or begging her family for more pets! Kirsti enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, her dogs – Stormy and Molly – and crafting. Her favorite thing about working at Somerset is not only building a bond with the patients, but their families as well.

Alyssa

Client Service Representative

Alyssa grew up in Moingona, Iowa with a passion for rescuing animals at a very young age. After working as a Community Outreach Coordinator and Customer Experience Supervisor at a large rescue organization, she joined the Somerset Team in 2018. Alyssa is extremely enthusiastic about helping people and their beloved pets. She enjoys traveling and spending time in nature with her fiancé and their three dogs, Queen, Jimmy and Oakley.

Mindy

Veterinary Assistant

Mindy grew up in Norwalk Iowa, graduated from DMACC with a liberal arts degree, and then attended Iowa State University.  She recently moved back to the Ames area from Sioux City where she has been a veterinary assistant for the 16 years.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two dogs Mabel and Artie.

Katie

Veterinary Assistant

Katie is from Bexhill-on-Sea England and came to Iowa to live near her husband’s family. She completed undergraduate in Comparative Literature at the University of Kent, and she is currently studying at DMACC and Iowa State University to get her prerequisites for Veterinary Medicine. Katie’s husband, mother-in-law, and son Rowan share their house with an Irish Terrier names Goose, and three rabbits named Kafka, Zelda, and Fitzgerald.

Abby

Veterinary Assistant

Abby started her veterinary career with a background in shelter medicine and clinical experience over the course of 5 years in both fields. She is currently attending San Juan College to complete her degree in veterinary technology. Abby lives in Des Moines and has two pets; a cat named Sebastian, and a dog named Lucy.

Paige O.

Client Service Representative

Paige is from the northwestern town of LeMars,Iowa where she grew up loving animals at a young age. She moved to Ames after high school and has been pursuing her passion through gaining valuable work experience in horse barns and veterinary hospitals. Paige joined the Somerset in 2018 and has found a strong family in her teammates, and a growing bond with clients and their four-legged loved ones. Paige and her boyfriend enjoy a night out on long drives together in their spare time, but are always looking forward to being home with their three-legged cat Pip.

Chase

Office Manager & Veterinary Nurse

Chase grew up outside of Sioux City.  Her love for animals blossomed at an early age when her parents were nice enough to let her keep every stray animal she came home with. She attended Cedar Valley College where she obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology and joined the Somerset team in 2012.  Chase enjoys interacting with clients and their fur babies. In her spare time, she plays intermural softball and volleyball, as well as spending time with her family and friends. Chase, her husband, and their daughter Ryan share their home with 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 horses.

Caroline

Kennel Assistant

Caroline grew up in Saint Charles, Illinois and is attending Iowa State University with a double major in Animal Science and Biology. Caroline has loved veterinary medicine since she was young as has been actively part of the hospital atmosphere since high school. Aside from playing with her Chocolate Labrador Retriever and a Russian Blue cat, she enjoys running, biking, and hiking in her free time.
